A Sketch Two Ways

This sketch is simply wonderful. There are many ways it could be used, but of course I chose the quick and simple route! This first one is a card for a teenage boy that we know. He was in the paper for playing the Star Spangled Banner before a parade.

The stamp sets are the new Jumble alphabet, Just Jawing, and an old background called Basic Backgrounds. Colors are bravo burgundy, whisper white, and summer sun.

Now, don't fall off your chair...the second project is a s-c-r-a-p-b-o-o-k page. I know, I haven't been getting many of these done lately but this layout just screamed scrapbook to me!

As you can see, it lends itself quite nicely to a scrapbook page.

All I used for this one is almost amethyst, so saffron, and teaparty designer series paper. A little paper piercing on the left side adds interest. I used the edge of a topnote as a guide.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Tasha

I like the idea of using letters instead of sentiments for your sketch inspired card.

Your sb page is lovely. I really like the color combo, the simplicity of the page layout and that you hand wrote your journaling. I don't do as much scrapping as I used to either. Although I really want to.

Hey, Susan, thanks for your kind words. I have a thing about handwriting the journaling. Even though my writing isn't real pretty, it just makes it more personal. I love reading letters that are handwritten rather than typed--it's almost like hearing that person speak. Although I will have to go back and squeeze in a letter I left out in my rush!

Good for you getting a scrapbook page done!!!

I am sure you know this but you may not so I am going to tell you just in case, but did you know you can reply to comments people leave you right from the e-mail you get when they leave a comment?? That way they are sure to see it in case they do not come back and look at your comments again.

I am sure you know this but I was just going to tell you because I have learned not to assume anything these days!!! LOL!!!

I think the card is a good one for a boy too!!!
