Lovin' the Crosses of Hope stamp set

When the new Stampin' Up! catalog debuted last July I knew I had to have the Crosses of Hope stamp set. But it was several months before I ordered it...and didn't use it until now!
Crosses of Hope baptism cardThis clean and simple card is easy and elegant. The base is 5-1/4" square cut from textured very vanilla cardstock. The 2-5/8" square in the center is smooth very vanilla to allow for the embossing. And the hint of color is blushing bride cut 2-3/4" square.

To make a sparkly gold cross, I stamped the image with VersaMark ink, then covered it with a mixture of gold embossing powder and dazzling diamonds glitter.

This card went to our newest little neighbor for her baby dedication at her church. Her sister was baptized the same day (on her birthday!) and I will share her card tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's the stash of "sweet nothings" for the sweeties in my life.

Valentine's Day doesn't feel real romantic on Monday so I'm making a special family dinner.

On the menu tonight: small rib-eye steaks, lobster tail, Italian salad, sauteed fresh green beans, crusty bread, and heart-shaped raspberry jello with a cream cheese drizzle for dessert.

Hope you have something special planned as well. :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

January Thank You Card

These little cards are going out to customers who placed an order in January.

Thank You Cards using Thanks for Caring stamp set
That butterfly image and "Thanks" are from the sympathy set called Thanks for Caring in Stampin' Up!s occasions mini catalog. I got the layout idea from fellow SU demonstrator Angie Juda.

I love how the sketchy lines of the butterfly coordinate so well with the loose lines of the Summer Garden designer series paper.

For a quick touch of color, I used sponge daubers in Pear Pizzaz and Poppy Parade and daubed over the butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Purse With Glimmer Paper Tag

Here's the other project I mentioned last week that I made using Stampin' Up!s new Glimmer Paper.

Isn't that a fun embellishment? What girl doesn't love to see her initial done in red glitter?

These were the favors for my daughter's slumber party. I'm still focused on using up old designer series paper and this pattern was perfect for these little purses.

The basic shape is the Top Note die run through the Big Shot. Two stick-on rhinestones add just the right touch of bling to the bag. And it's all tied up with 5/8" Satin Ribbon.

Free Bliss Stamp Set Ideas

Having trouble deciding what free item(s) to choose during Sale-a-bration? Here's a video showing a couple cute project ideas for the Bliss stamp set.

Hope you enjoy watching Shannon from the Stampin' Up! office. I was sick for a few days and then I've been too cold to do much! School was actually canceled for the past 2 days due to the "extreme cold".

Stay warm and thanks for stopping by!
