My New Favorite Set

Hi Stampers! My favorite set is kind of like a young child's best friend--whoever I played with last. lol So today it is the new Stampin Up! set called Scene in a Garden.
.
I love the set but was bothered by the clean and tidy look of it. Most who garden much do not keep things super neat and tidy so I did a little cut and paste to get the look I wanted.

Here's what I used in case you would like to try one like it:
stamps--Scene in a Garden (in the new mini!!)
cardstock--kraft, whisper white
ink--black Staz On, timber brown Staz On, creamy caramel
markers with aqua painter--bordering blue, creamy caramel, really rust, ruby red, night of navy, ballet blue, apricot appeal, pretty in pink
accessories--mini-library clip
.
Hope I inspired you to do a little spring stamping! If you need some of the products listed, you can order online anytime by clicking the catalog in the upper right corner. Or you can email me at tasha_hickert-consulting@yahoo.com .
.
Thanks for stopping by! Tasha

it's a very cute, yet it's still clean, you're right though martha steweret is a very clean gardener, but I don't know if she counts b/c I'm sure she has tons of others that take care of her cleaning....have a good one!!

This is a great card made using this set. I think it's adorable, but I'm horrible with aligning stamps, and don't do the stamp-a-ma-jig. So unless I get gutsy someday, I will look at all of the beautiful cards you make with it. I love the main image on the kraft panel. Looks great!

A beautiful card Tasha and I think you're right about most gardens being a bit less than tidy all the time. Love how you modified your card to match. If you get a moment and if you can remember but when I won your blog candy you sent me some gorgeous ribbons, one of which was a lovely fairly wide grosgrain red and creamy white stripe. I loved it and the quality of it was really good, I wonder if you could tell me the make of it as I'd love to get some more and also see if there are other colours. Thanks. Chris

You got me going with your spring COTM cards, Tasha, I know that! Enjoy doing spin offs. And glad I'm not being graded on them! Lol. Thank goodness for relatives!

Oh Tasha I adore this card!!! The scene and coloring remind me of a pencil drawing! So beautiful and I love how you used the stamp to create the background! What an awesome idea! I have to say though that the library clip is amazing!!! Such a great accent!!! I completely agree about the tidy factor! It definitely looks more like my husbands garden shed now! LOL!!

Smiles,
