Have you visited the last 2 days and found no new post? Did you wonder what in the world happened? Well...I have a confession.
I have a problem, sort of an addiction. And while I normally keep it under control, it seems that once during Christmas break and once during the summer I "fall off the wagon".
What could it be you wonder?
It is...reading. I know, sounds harmless enough but once I start a book, I have to read until the end. At the current state in my life I cannot afford to "be absent" for 20 hours. The house falls apart, the blog goes unattended, meals happen but they're nothing to brag about.
This time, though, I thought I was smart and I was only going to read one of my kids' books so that the time involvement would be small. And I did manage to read the first one in 2 hours. And the second, and the third. They're a series--thank goodness we only have the first three!!
But then I made the mistake of reading one of the young Bond books. They're good, but also a slower and longer read so...
Anyway, I am back from my binge just in time for the Unscripted Sketches challenge #12. During one of the times I did pull my nose out of the book and look around I saw that one of my virtual friends is celebrating her wedding anniversary this weekend. So, Happy Anniversary Rebecca! Of course, I started the card with the sketch for today and the only other stipulation (I made) was that I needed to use Rose Red since we share an affection for that color. The rest just fell into place. I apologize for using a retired set, but the Bluebirds of Happiness were calling to me!
stamps: Feathered Friends, Teeny Tiny Wishes (available on July 1)
cardstock: whisper white, rose red, raspberry tart designer series paper, regal rose
ink: black, ballet blue, ruby red, certainly celery, old olive, regal rose, creamy caramel, more mustard
accessories: chalks, modern label punch (available July 1), clear rhinestone brads
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! Tasha

Tasha you are awesome, I confess I am not much of a reader, my husband is however so I guess I can sort of relate. Your card this week is marvelous, I love the bluebird topiary image, it's sad when they retire an image but that doesn't mean they cannot still bring us joy! Have a terrific day! BR-T
Tasha this is soooo beautiful! What a great stamp!
Thanks for joining us again!!!
Wow, this is gorgeous! I'm so glad you joined us again this week! I've been waiting to see what you'd come up with next! Beautiful take on this weeks sketch.
Tasha, as usual another gorgeous creation. Your work is gorgeous, and I am so happy that you found Unscripted Sketches..I look forward to seeing you as #1 every Saturday morning to see what you have created!!
I hear you about the reading...I've been known to have that happen to me...not in a long time due to nursing school, but once I sit for the boards on 7/15 I plan on reading Twilight!!
Hugs

This card is so pretty!!! I am the SAME way when it comes to reading...once i start, I am obsessed with it until it is finished. I have stayed up all night at times. *sigh, not good! lol!

Oh, this is gorgeous!!! I absolutely love it. The Rose Red is awesome, I love it. I'm glad to see what you created when you were able to pull away from the reading (an addiction I totally understand, also). Now I may have to check out those books myself!
Thank you for the visit & sweet comments on my blog! I enjoyed reading this post - you sound so much like me. For example, this morning I've had a five gal bucket of beans waiting on me to can, and I keep putting it off, because I can't lay my book down. I made myself just a few mins ago so I could check my email and then get to work. (I've also got a ton of laundry) *sigh*
The anniversary card is a beauty! Love those colors together.
