The End is Near

Here is your reminder that Stampin' Up!s Occasions mini-catalog ends Saturday. So...if you have something(s) on your wish list, you need to change it to an order list! :)

These are the cards we will be making Friday for May Cards of the Month Club. They can be used for birthdays, Mother's Day, graduation, or your own special occasion.

I love the patterned paper in both Springtime Vintage and Botanical Gazette designer series paper packs. Sadly, they are only available through April 30 (Saturday!).
Another item that you may want to order before the month ends is the Buttons, Buttons! stamp set. If you send most of your cards in the mail, this set is a must-have for adding that "little extra something" without having to add more postage!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Easter

I hope you have a beautiful Easter! We started celebrating yesterday with an egg hunt at church followed by a dinner here for part of my family.

Today we will head out for the early service at church --NOT sunrise :) -- followed by breakfast cooked by the church men. That's a lovely tradition!!

Looking forward to a relaxing day with my family once all the egg and candy craziness is over.

Hope you have a fantastic day as well!

Easter Candy Gift Box

A fun way to present a friend or teacher with Easter joy! The box is 4-1/2" square and 1" tall. For a decorative edge, I turned the flaps out and used the scalloped trim border punch then secured with sticky strip.

Months a go I bought Stampin' Up!s thick clear window sheets but this is the first project I have made with them. Love them! At first I thought the plastic was way too thick to work with, but I scored and folded and it looks fantastic!! Mini glue dots are the best for holding the clear corners together.

Like the paper "grass"? I could have made that with cardstock but Target has assorted colors for about 50-cents a bag--can't beat that.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

My Digital Studio Layouts

I've been busy working on layouts from the kids club state wrestling tournament. One of the neat things about My Digital Studio is that I was actually able to start while we were still out of town. No paper, glue, and supplies--just software on the laptop!

Since I am getting used to a new camera and new version of photoshop the process for me is quite slow right now. Thankfully, MDS, very user friendly so I don't have to struggle with that part!

To get the background color for these pages I just selected custom color and then clicked a spot on one of the maroon hoodies in the photo. Easy peasy! Still want to add a pattern overlay but haven't decided exactly what I want.

In case you are not familiar with My Digital Studio, it can be purchased as a stand-alone papercrafting software solution OR if you already have a digital imaging system you like, all the images will work with most of the popular software on the market.

Right now, you can even get digital downloads free with any Stampin' Up! product purchase but this offer ends Thursday, March 31.

Just thought I would share a little of what I've been up to.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fun Birthday Card with the Punch Bunch

This birthday card is one we will be making tomorrow at Cards of the Month club. The owls are a breeze to make: just stamp, punch, and accessorize!
Today's card idea comes from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator online community. Don't you love it? Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the demonstrator who shared it--so if it's you...let me know!

The online community is just one of the great ways Stampin' Up! supports their demonstrators and a fun way for us to "get together" since we are spread out across the country--and world! If you want to try out being a demonstrator, now is a great time.

During Sale-A-Bration—until March 31—you’ll get 15 percent off the Starter Kit (traditional or Digital+), which means you’ll get over $310 of high-quality Stampin’ Up! products for just $148.75! In addition, you’ll get a special Bonus Bundle that contains up to $50 of additional Stampin’ Up! products, including

  • Color Coach
  • Simply Sent Something Special (or any Simply Sent kit)
  • Live, Laugh, Love Set (or any Simply Sent stamp set)
  • Full Heart Punch (or any punch valued at $16.95 or less)

I love extra free stuff--don't you?!

You can learn more about being a demonstrator here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Crosses of Hope Easter Card

With St. Patrick's Day passed, that means our next holiday is Easter. And this year there's still time to make cards even if you haven't started yet!
This striking card is fairly simple to create with the right tools. For the center panel, the cross is stamped with Versamark ink onto Stampin' Up!s glossy white cardstock. After letting it dry just a bit, I inked up the brayer with elegant eggplant and rolled across the glossy piece going right over the cross.

After letting the panel dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Just Believe stamp set using elegant eggplant ink. Mounting the panel on a piece of elegant eggplant cardstock adds a subtle accent.

For the card border, I used a Stamp 'n Write marker to color a little elegant eggplant in each flower well on the Framed Tulips embossing folder. Then I inserted the cardstock and cranked it through the Big Shot.

That's it!
