Glimmer Paper Valentine

Have you seen Stampin' Up!s new glimmer paper? It's perfect for making sparkly Valentines without the glitter mess.
This is one of the cards we are making today at Cards of the Month Club. Glimmer Paper is one of the fun new items in the Occasions mini-catalog.

other Stampin' Up! supplies used for this card:
cardstock: real red, whisper white, basic black
stamp set: Love You Much
ink: StazOn Jet Black and real red stampin' write marker
tools: Big Shot with square lattice embossing folder and scalloped heart of hearts embosslit, scallop edge border punch and extra-large heart to heart punch

Since the card base is black, the inside is lined with whisper white.
I'll show you another little project I used the Glimmer Paper on tomorrow.

We will be celebrating with my husband's family this weekend which is always a good time.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate for everyone travelling.

Last Minute Family Gift

Are you running out of time? Did you get all your goodies and homemade treats done and presented to your friends and neighbors?

If not, here's an idea that you can make without messing up your kitchen!

The base is a giant-size Hershey bar. The recipient will smile after reading the poem under the flap.

This idea was shared with me several years ago and I saved the poem* (ate the chocolate, of course). So I hope you can put it to good use as well.

Last-Minute teacher Gift Idea

Need a little something to pack up your homemade treats? Stampin' Up!s CandyCountdown Calendar Kit comes to the rescue.

You know...the one you bought with good intentions of making a darling Christmas countdown...

so grab it and get you're ready to go!

The image panel is die cut--just punch out and glue on. Sentiment is from Tags Til Christmas stamp set. Love that set because it coordinates with so many punches making tags quick and easy.

The real red grosgrain ribbon is included for the handles. I added satin ribbon, die cut snowflake, and a button from the Candy Cane Big Buttons collections to embellish the top of the boxes.

I apologize for the long absence, but just haven't had enough hours in the day for about a month. And I'm trying to learn to function with Windows 7, a new computer, etc.

As the kids put it "we had an electronic revolution" at our house. :)
