Sale-a-bration and Birthday Gift Box

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Stampin' Up! has outdone themselves once again with this promotion, and you'll love the free items including buttons, paper, stamp sets, and even digital downloads. Click the catalog to view it as a pdf file.

New to Stampin' Up!? Sale-a-bration is an annual event in which every customer gets spoiled. :) For every $50 in purchases you can choose an item free from the Sale-a-bration catalog. For workshop hostesses, that is on top of your generous benefit plan plus once your workshop sales total reaches $300 you can choose another free product!

And now for a project!

Don't fall off your chair or anything. ;)

The matchbox-style gift box is perfect for my homemade chocolate covered cherries that I delivered to a friend for her birthday.

Now that we're passed Christmas I can go back to using Summer Garden, my favorite designers series paper pack. This box measures 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" when closed.

Main colors are Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake

That's all I've got! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

More Gift Bags

As promised, here are a couple more gift boxes.  All made the same, just different paper and decorations.

Seasonal Gift Boxes

You can see a tutorial on these boxes here.

The two Christmas ones are part of my using up old designer series paper.  But the embellishments are all available.  Both the ornament and "dec. 25" stamp are from the set Tags til Christmas.

Tag using Tags til Christmas and decorative label punch

In fact, the Tags til Christmas stamp set can be bundled with either the decorative label punch (right) or the ornament punch for a 20% savings.

Rhinestones and glitter and the finishing touch.  With 150 rhinestones for $4.95, you can make a lot of boxes for a little $!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Thanksgiving Gift Box

Fancy chocolates come in packages like these, so why not your special treat?

Thanksgiving Gift Box

This box is simple to make and uses an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock.  I am getting ready for a craft fair on the 13th so will make several of these.  They are easy to change for each season/holiday.

For today's I used Peach Parfait cardstock and the Autumn Days stamp set.  Yep, I'm still enamored with making acorns using the ornament punch!

I'll share some more tomorrow.  Pretty sure I posted instructions to this box style a year or two ago.  If I can't find it, I'll share measurements and directions on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Travel Gift Box

Can you ever have too much pink? Check out this ensemble--lol! This gift all started with that luggage tag I found at a little boutique. My friend is doing some extra travelling this year due to her mother's health and I thought a cute tag might give her a reason to smile during the trips.
After finding the tag, I knew I would have to make a "suitcase" to put it on. While shopping at a local craft store, I found this polka-dot box and knew it was the perfect gift wrap. This morning I finally buckled down to make the suitcase.

The black straps actually hold it closed with velcro dots. The inside looks like this.

To keep the earrings in their place I just used a piece of basic black cardstock and the crop-o-dile to make my holes.

And, yes, in case you were wondering I did have pink tissue paper to set inside to keep the jewelry from sliding around during shipping!
I got the basic idea from a template I purchased from Becky Roberts. You can see the picture of hers on her blog in the right side bar, called traveling trio.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Labor Day (or...er...life!)

It's been a busy weekend so far! We had our first football game on Thursday and Marlin's parents drove out here to see it. We had a nice, although short, visit since they had to leave this morning.
.
For today's papercraft idea, I have some gift containers to share.
  • A friend of mine is looking for something that she can fill with candy to give as thank yous for co-workers who help her out. So I made a few options for her to look at.
  • All but the matchbox use the window sheets which are so cool! Tip: be sure to use permanent ink such as StazOn when stamping on the window sheet.
  • Below you can see the basket style with it's matching card.
I'll be back later in the week with some dimensions/tutorial for making these!
Thanks for stopping by!

  • Cards of the Month Sneek Peek is Thursday!
  • Times still open for Die Cut Day (see right side bar)

2009/2010 Idea Book and Catalog

Hi Stampers! In case you haven't heard Stampin' Up! has gone back to a yearly catalog and July 1st is the release date.
.
You can pre-order the catalog from me starting June 1st and I will mail it to you as soon as I receive my shipment. The cost for this is $10 which includes priority mail shipping.
.
BUT, if you join my July Cards of the Month Club you can receive the catalog absolutely FREE. I will post the ordering link on June 1. **Also, the information will be in my June newsletter--make sure you sign up so you don't miss a thing! (Sign up box is in the upper left side bar).

Above is my project for today. This gift box fits 6 cards (2 of each design shown) with their envelopes. I put this entire gift together in just over 1 hour. To make the box, cut your cardstock at 6-5/8"x7-7/8" for the lid and 6-1/2x7-3/4 for the base, then score each one at 1" on every side. You should be able to figure it out from there!
.
Stampin' Up! products I used:
stamp sets: Oval All (in the mini catalog), Lovely Letters
cardstock: old olive, riding hood red, Bell Rose designer series paper, whisper white, pink pirouette
ink: rose red, old olive
accessories: organza ribbon, 5/8" old olive grosgrain ribbon
tools: eyelet border punch, scallop oval punch, scallop circle punch, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! Tasha

Are You Showing Your Appreciation?

Hi Stampers! Today is Nurses' Day and Teacher Appreciation Day/Week so I have a couple of gift ideas to show you in the next few days. Both of these are upcoming classes and will be available as Quick Kits.

This wonderful gift idea came from fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Betty Traciak. Using her basic idea for a mix and match card set, I created the Choose A Card Gift Box Class.

This gift lets the recipient have a little fun by putting on the sentiments.

The class includes making the beautiful box, 6 coordinating gift cards, 12 scallop ovals, and 12 stamped ovals.

Details about the class and mail kits will be released at Saturday's Open House.

The next picture shows the dividers and the inside of the box. Note how I took the picture before the card was glued together and one of the dots slid off! But you get the idea.

Because the papere is the double-sided, the combinations are almost limitless and no 2 projects turn out exactly the same. Fun, huh?

I am loving using my new favorite Raspberry Tart designer series paper. Yes, I took advantage of this month's special!

I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Tasha

The Countdown Continues
  1. 3 days to the Open House
  2. 3 days to help at the flower shop
  3. 4 days to June's Cards of the Month sneak peek
  4. 12 days of school
