Commission Work

Today's card idea is a card that I made for a client. Occasionally, my upline/neighbor/friend along with another sideline and I work together as a group called Dazzling Diamonds Design Team to do custom order work. These cards are for a church to send on birthdays.
rubber stamping birthday card idea using Eastern Blooms
Because many people will need to sign them this card is actually a large 5-1/2"x8" size which was hard for me!
  • colors: whisper white, orchid opulence, certainly celery, so saffron
  • the background is embossed with the Big Shot and the exclusive Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texturz plate
  • the sentiment is from the Special Blessing stamp set heat embossed in black
  • the flower images are part of the Eastern Blooms stamp set
  • glitter is that fabulously fine Cosmo glittler in purple
  • the ribbon is 5/8" grosgrain, unfortunately the so saffron color is no longer available but you can still get 9 other colors (and they are a bargain in 15yd. spools!)

In case you've been hiding under a rock, I better let you know that the Holiday Mini-Catalog is official today. Yes, you can now order the fantastic items available. Except for My Digital Studio which will not be available until Oct. 1.

And there is a hostess special. Any workshop that has $250 in product orders, earns the hostess the opportunity to order any item* from the mini-catalog for only $10. That is in addition to the already generous hostess benenfits. I also lhave an additional offer that I mentioned in my September newsletter. So email me to get on the schedule!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • don't have a mini? email me with your name, mailing address and phone so I can send one to you!

Special Blessing

Hi Stampers! With Confirmation last Sunday, I reached for the Stampin' Up! set Special Blessing to easily create cards for the occasion. This set is a must-have for religious cards with it's beautiful images and versatile sentiments.

This is a quick card to make so the design works well for mass production.

stamp set: Special Blessing

cardstock: so saffron, whisper white, delicate dots designer series paper

ink: certainly celery, staz on black

accessory: certainly celery twill ribbon

Don't forget to take advantage of the designer series paper special this month. You can buy 3 packs and receive a 4th one free! Each pack contains 12 designs on twelve double-sided pieces. There are 21 different packs to choose from plus the 14 monotone packs which feature shades of one exclusive color. You can see them all in the catalog on pages 158-161.

This sample is Tea Party.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, Stampers! I realize not everyone celebrates this day, but if you do I hope that you are lucky enough to be able to spend some time this weekend with your family. And I am honored that you took the time to visit today because I most certainly enjoy my "stamping family".
.
Here is the card I made for you. A clean and simple style full of symbolism.
We will be celebrating with my family this year. Since my husband will be working (a definite negative to his otherwise great job) I decided I wasn't up to driving 9 hours to his family. Ends up that was a good decision because my sister-in-law who was hosting (hi Monica!) had a business trip come up and will be flying out mid-afternoon. They certainly didn't need my rowdy bunch there while she tries to get ready!
I plan on eating lots of jelly beans and chocolate eggs--hope you do too! Tasha

Easter Reminder

Hi Stampers! Just a little nudge for those of you who haven't completed (or started) your Easter cards. Now you can tell your family "I have to stamp" this weekend. You can always come to me for a reason to stamp and I'll help you out! Anyway, I'll be mailing my cards out Monday to ensure they're not late.
.
Here's another card idea in case you are needing some inspiration.

The Stampin Up! supplies I used are as follows.

stamps: Special Blessing, Great Friend (in the mini)

cardstock: almost amethyst, elegant eggplant, barely banana

ink: Versa Mark, elegant eggplant
accessories: white organza ribbon, irridescent ice embossing powder
tools: eyelet border punch, stampin' sponge
.
I hope you have a good weekend. We'll race around outside today getting things done before the next cold front comes in--getting a little tired of the wind!!
.
Thanks for stopping by! Tasha

Special Blessing Two-fer!

Hi Stampers! I just got my SU Special Blessing set yesterday and am all excited to try it out. So I found two sketch challenges today (I just love Wednesdays!!) which helped me get these put together quickly. This first card I followed the scs challenge sc218.
Here's what I used: all Stampin' Up!
stamps: special blessing
cs: so saffron, old olive, delicate dots dsp (Sale-A-Bration FREE)
ink:white craft
technique: paper piercing
.
Now for the second card, I used the Diva's Coffeebreak Design challenge 117, minus the bow. For those who have visited a few times you may have realized I am not a big bow or large flower person. I like ribbon and small bows and knots, but I digress...
To make this card you need: All SU!
stamps: Special Blessing, All Holidays (for greeting)
cs: elegant eggplant, delicate dots dsp (Sale-A-Bration FREE), whisper white
ink: old olive, craft white
accessories: gold brads, old olive grosgrain ribbon, scallop punch
.
Hope you are having a good day, too! I am headed outside to hang laundry since it is 60+ degrees. Thanks for stopping by, Tasha
