Unscripted Fluttering

Here is my card idea for the Unscripted sketch today. I really like Stampin' Up!s new In Color Rich Razzleberry even if I can't quite seem to capture it with the camera.

This is a standard 4-1/4"x5-1/2" card.

• colors are Stampin' Up!'s pale plum, rich razzleberry, whisper white, certainly celery
• stamp set is Stampin' Up!'s "Dreams du Jour"
• accessories are Dazzling Diamonds glitter adhered on a trail of Tombow multi-adhesive, Rich Razzleberry polka-dot ribbon, and a Stampin' dimensional to pop up the cut out butterfly

To get the ribbon effect, I put a couple small pieces of sticky strip on the edge of the panel, scrunched up the ribbon and stuck it on. This picture isn't great, but you can get the idea.

Enjoy Your Memories

Happy Memorial Day! I hope that you will take the time today to remember family and friends who are no longer living. And at 3:00pm in your time zone, take a moment to reflect on those who have defended our way of life.

My card idea for today is based on the past, present and future. The layout is from today's Mojo Monday sketch 88.

Using the Dreams du Jour stamp set which has 2 beautiful messages that speak of being happy with today, but dreaming for better tomorrows, I added a little "past" by distressing the cardstock for a vintage look.

The colors are actually pale plum and perfect plum which didn't photograph true but they came out a pretty color anyway! The images in this set are fun to color. With the bold, black lines it is hard to do any wrong. *I prefer to use Staz On Jet Black when stamping in black because it is permanent and does not run when using Stampin' Up markers or aquapainters.

The pattern at the top is made simply by scoring lines on the backside!

cardstock: whisper white, perfect plum, pale plum

ink: versa mark, staz on jet black, perfect plum, pale plum, lavendar lace, old olive

accessories: mini-library clip, old olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, 1/4" gingham ribbon

tools: aqua painter, stampin' sponges

Mojo...Tuesday?

Hi Stampers! It's been awhile since I made a Mojo Monday sketch and I needed a change from all the pretty pastels I've been using so you can see where I ended up. Here is the sketch:

And here is the card. I am still loving the gerbera daisy die cut that goes with the Big Shot. Rub-ons are pretty awesome too since they stick to nearly anything and can go right on embossed cardstock. However, I don't really like the one I picked for this card. :( It would be better suited somewhere else I think, but I suppose not all of my cards can be masterpieces--lol.

Sketch Challenge Today

Good Morning! I don't always get to post this early but have a jam-packed day. This is the card I put together for the sketch challenge over on scs. I haven't been drinking coffee lately so treated myself today. Apparently my body isn't used to it anymore. Can you see the big pink "coffee spaz" on the image? I'll have to re-do it before using this card, but wanted to post it anyway. Also, I think I will take off the rhinestone and go with another dot on the blue flower. Just a different look and I don't like them together now that I've seen it.

Colors: apricot appeal, bashful blue, certainly celery, whisper white
Dsp: rainbow sherbet
Accessories: blue rhinestone brad from ice collection, 3-flower punch, large oval and wide oval punches, needle and mat for paper piercing
