I've been busy working on layouts from the kids club state wrestling tournament. One of the neat things about My Digital Studio is that I was actually able to start while we were still out of town. No paper, glue, and supplies--just software on the laptop!
Since I am getting used to a new camera and new version of photoshop the process for me is quite slow right now. Thankfully, MDS, very user friendly so I don't have to struggle with that part!
To get the background color for these pages I just selected custom color and then clicked a spot on one of the maroon hoodies in the photo. Easy peasy! Still want to add a pattern overlay but haven't decided exactly what I want.
In case you are not familiar with My Digital Studio, it can be purchased as a stand-alone papercrafting software solution OR if you already have a digital imaging system you like, all the images will work with most of the popular software on the market.
Right now, you can even get digital downloads free with any Stampin' Up! product purchase but this offer ends Thursday, March 31.
Just thought I would share a little of what I've been up to.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fun Birthday Card with the Punch Bunch
This birthday card is one we will be making tomorrow at Cards of the Month club. The owls are a breeze to make: just stamp, punch, and accessorize!
I love extra free stuff--don't you?!

The online community is just one of the great ways Stampin' Up! supports their demonstrators and a fun way for us to "get together" since we are spread out across the country--and world! If you want to try out being a demonstrator, now is a great time.

Crosses of Hope Easter Card
With St. Patrick's Day passed, that means our next holiday is Easter. And this year there's still time to make cards even if you haven't started yet!
This striking card is fairly simple to create with the right tools. For the center panel, the cross is stamped with Versamark ink onto Stampin' Up!s glossy white cardstock. After letting it dry just a bit, I inked up the brayer with elegant eggplant and rolled across the glossy piece going right over the cross.
After letting the panel dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Just Believe stamp set using elegant eggplant ink. Mounting the panel on a piece of elegant eggplant cardstock adds a subtle accent.
For the card border, I used a Stamp 'n Write marker to color a little elegant eggplant in each flower well on the Framed Tulips embossing folder. Then I inserted the cardstock and cranked it through the Big Shot.
That's it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Many an opportunity is lost because a man is out looking for four-leaf clovers.

All Occasion Handmade Card
Do you like to have a few cards on hand that can be sent out for nearly any occasion at a moment's notice? This design lends itself to that purpose.
Just Believe stamp set
clear mount 120453 $25.95
wood 116948 $33.95
If you want even more flexibility, leave the sentiment off until sending time. Colors for this bright and cheery card are daffodil delight, poppy parade, and marina mist all on whisper white. To get the multi-colored image I simply inked up the flower stamp from the Just Believe stamp set in daffodil delight, then colored poppy parade marker direct onto the stamp (over the yellow) before stamping.
Like the patterned background? That's the Vine and Blossom Stampin' Around wheel. Just a few rolls across the cardstock and voila!
One of my favorite things about using Stampin' Up! products is that I can get ink (pads and markers), cardstock, ribbon and other accessories in the same colors. That makes putting a card or scrapbook page together so much easier!
Happy Monday--thanks for stopping in!

Tea Cup Card
Did you know Stampin' Up! sells some stamps singly? Yep, a set of 1! And this tea cup is one of them.
Isn't it cute?
What a friendly card to send! This was one of our projects at Cards of the Month Club for March.
Details for April COTM club go out today to newsletter recipients so watch your inbox. Not on the list? Sign up here.
Colors for this card are Pear Pizzaz, Early Espresso, and Whisper White. Look closely and, hopefully, you can see that the card front has a polka-dot texture which was made by a trip through the Big Shot with one the Texturz Backgounds plates.

Natural Thank You Card
This little note I copied from a sample in Stampin' Up!s Occasions mini-catalog. The specialty designer series paper is so fun! If you love the vintage look, but can't bring yourself to tear up any old books this paper is the perfect answer.
The First Edition specialty designer series paper is lightweight to remind you of vintage encyclopedias but it is still double-sided.
Recognize the bird? It is from the Nature Walk stamp set that I showed a couple days ago. And to tie it all up little hemp twine accented with a tiny paper daisy sporting an old olive mini brad center.
The 3x3 note card size is sweet for so many occasions. This size is one of my favorites to work with.

Springtime Vintage Blues
The Springtime Vintage designer series paper is so pretty! For this birthday card I chose two blue patterns to coordinate with the marina mist and baja breeze cardstock.
That Happy Birthday greeting is from Punch Bunch--one of the free stamp sets you can receive during sale-a-bration which ends March 31, 2011.
This layout works well with any color scheme and is a good way to use up some of those designer series paper scraps you don't want to throw away.
Scalloped squares are a breeze to make with the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Duo Bigz Die.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Going On a Nature Walk
...with Stampin' Up!s new Nature Walk stamp set.
This nature-infused card is versatile and could be used as a birthday card or a personal note.
For this card, I started with the color palette of old olive, soft suede, marina mist, and rich razzleberry. The message is from the stamp set Just Believe, stamped in soft suede on very vanilla and punched out with the large oval. A piece of hemp twine ties it all together with a natural look.
The spring temperatures we are getting has me thinking spring in stamping as well!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Tasha

National Read Across America Day
Children in many schools are having silly fun reading today and celebrating the birthday of a famous American author. Do you know who?
He is most well-know for children's books and used a pen name.
Here's a hint from Wikipedia:
Geisel also worked as an illustrator for advertising campaigns, most notably for Flit and Standard Oil, and as a political cartoonist for PM, a New York City newspaper. During World War II, he worked in an animation department of the U.S Army, where he wrote Design for Death, a film that later won the 1947 Academy Award for Documentary Feature.
Still not sure? Maybe this quote will clear it up:
Do you have a favorite Dr. Suess book? I think mine is the alphabet book. I remember it from childhood (from hearing it read to my brother) and then it's been engraved in my brain after reading it to my own three kids! Whenever they need a word that starts with a particular letter, say L, I still quote from the book: "left leg, lazy lion licks a lollipop"! :)
And now I am remembering that I didn't remind my kids to wear silly hats. Whoops! Yesterday was crazy sock day and today is silly hat day. With so much Suess on the brain I feel like everything I say should rhyme!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by,
Tasha
PS another card project tomorrow--stay tuned...

Today you are you! That is truer

Another Crosses of Hope Card
This card went to my daughter's best friend who celebrated her birthday and her baptism on Sunday. The peach parfait cardfront took a trip through the Big Shot in the Framed Tulips embossing folder.
The floral cross was a great pick to go with the tulips. The cross is stamped in certainly celery with a touch of peach parfait Stampin' Write marker.
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
